Recently,  Ellen Gerstein appeared during two nights of programming for the World Autism Summit, sponsored by Autism Today.  She was interviewed by psychologist, Louise Sattler, about her work within the special needs community for actors with special needs.

The World Autism Summit’s goals were to shine a spotlight on the positive attributes of people with ASD and neurodiversity. Ellen spoke about her films Waiting for Ronald and Come Away with Me.  She focused on her casting of actors with special. needs and her being drawn to topics that showed people overcoming challenges and/or have diversity..
